MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein: President’s Meeting with Government, Governors, State Leaders and Representatives of Villages and Hamlets Sends Decisive Messages on Protecting National Security and Addressing Challenges

MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Member of the House of Representatives, affirmed that the expanded meeting held by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi with the government, governors, state leaders, and representatives of villages and hamlets was an important meeting in terms of both its timing and substance, as it conveyed decisive messages regarding the protection of Egypt’s national security, the preservation of domestic cohesion, and the need to address the rapidly evolving repercussions of regional and international crises.

A Strategic Vision to Protect National Interests

Abou El-Enein explained that the President’s reaffirmation of the fundamentals of Egypt’s foreign policy, foremost among them supporting the stability of Arab countries and safeguarding freedom of international navigation, reflects the close link between Egypt’s national security and the stability of the region, as well as the need to address surrounding developments through a strategic vision that protects national interests.

He stressed that the Palestinian cause remains a central issue in the Middle East, and that reaching a just and comprehensive settlement based on the two-state solution remains a fundamental path toward achieving lasting peace and stability.

MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein also stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts to contain escalation and prevent the conflict from expanding, noting that the losses incurred by Suez Canal revenues as a result of regional instability, as outlined during the meeting, demonstrate the close interconnection between security and stability on the one hand, and economic performance and development opportunities on the other.

Integrated Plans to Address Potential Economic Scenarios

Abou El-Enein called on the government to accelerate the development of integrated plans to address potential economic scenarios, secure supply chains, diversify sources of production, and strengthen the readiness of vital sectors to confront crises.

He stressed that the meeting underscores the need to enhance coordination among state institutions, improve crisis-management capabilities, and develop mechanisms for communicating with citizens, ensuring that accurate information reaches the public at the appropriate time.

He further emphasized that safeguarding the state and its resources is a shared responsibility, stressing that Egypt’s strength rests on its national institutions and the awareness of its people, as well as its ability to combine prudent diplomatic action with well-organized economic efforts.
