The Best Industrialist Award in Africa

2018-The African Union (AU) chose Mr. Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Chairman of Ceramica Cleopatra Group, to win the Best Industrialist Award in the African Continent.

This came at the 10th. African Union Forum for the Private Sector held in the presence of Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Administrative Reform.

Victor Harrison, Commissioner for Economic Affairs of the African Union, handed over the Award to Abou El-Enein. This is the first time for an Egyptian manufacturer to win this prestigious award, which is awarded to Cleopatra Group among all companies in 55 African countries.

The Award Statement confirmed that Abou Al-Enein succeeded in settling a modern industry in Africa and creating a new industrial name for Egypt and the Continent in the ceramics, porcelain and sanitary ware industry, which surpassed the world’s deep-rooted manufacturers.

The African Union pointed out that the experience of Mohamed Abou El-Enein over the past 40 years is a model for the private sector that we want to see in Africa. He added that Abou El-Enein is one of the pioneers of the reconstruction of the Egyptian desert with factories, farms, tourist destinations and technological and real estate projects, which led to job creation, rehabilitating employment, securing food, settling technology, creating added value from local raw materials and opening up new markets for Egyptian products.

Best Parliamentary man of the southern Mediterranean countries

2008 – The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean honored the MP Mohammed M. Abou El Enein as the best South Mediterranean member in appreciation of his record in the Parliamentary Diplomacy regionally and internationally, in a significant event held in November 2008 in Monaco, in the presence of Albert II, Prince of Monaco.

Mr. Abdelwahed Radi, the president of Moroccan Parliament and Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean at the time, provided the award to the Member of Parliament Mohamed Abou El Enein.

Worth mentioning that the Assembly is an international organization which includes 37 MPs from European, Arab and Middle-Eastern countries. The presidents of the national parliaments participate in its annual effective session.

2007: Mr. Mohamed Abu El Enein was honored as Best Businessman by Mr.Ahmed Nazif, the prime minister at the time, during the Global investment Forum.

Largest Exporter to Japan

2005 – Ceramica Cleopatra Group gained the award as the largest exporter to Japan, as the company has been exporting its high quality ceramic and porcelain products to Japan since 25 years, matching the demand coming from the largest Japanese projects such as grand hotels, main train and underground stations, airports, shopping centers and Universities.

Excellence award for best African company from Unido

1997 – Cleopatra Group won the Award of Excellence from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) as the best African company in the field of production and innovation.

1998 – Mr. Mohammed M. Abou El Enein, founder and chairman of the group, received the award in a significant event organized by INPEX Corporation, 1998.

Golden Ladder award in Italy

1996 – Cleopatra Group won the Golden Ladder award as a leading company in innovation from Italy during a massive event.

Second best MP in 50 years

2000 – Elected as second best MP in over 50 years during the Egyptian parliamentary editors event held in Cairo in June 2000. The editors affirmed that he played his legislative and supervision role professionally and presented many suggestions for laws that were approved.

Best leader in industry and economic investment

2007 – Honored by the Global Investment Forum in appreciation of his role as one of the investment and industry leaders. Mr. Ahmed Nazif, the prime minister at the time, gave him the award in a major event organized by the Forum.

Economic man of the year

2010 – Chosen as the Economic Man of the Year. As one of the industry and investment leaders in Egypt and the Middle East, and engraved Egypt’s name in the field of ceramic and porcelain industry globally. The ceremony was held at ISO Egypt event.

Recognition for the social and nationalist prominent role played

2014 – The Minister of Social Solidarity honored Mr. Mohammed Abou El-Enein in recognition for the social and nationalist prominent role played by him through “Abou El-Enien Social Foundation”, as well as “Sada El-Balad channels network, especially with regard to his support of the Ministry’s efforts in solving young people’s problems. He was honored at a grand ceremony held by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in 2014.

Award from American University for his prominent social role and significant contributions

2008 – The American University in Cairo honored businessman Mohammad Abou El-Enein in recognition for his prominent social role and significant contributions in the field of corporate social responsibility. He received his award by the University at a grand ceremony in 2008.

The biggest supporter of the Hospital for Children's Cancer

The “57357” Hospital for Children’s Cancer Treatment honored businessman Mr. Mohammed Abou El-Enein as one of the first and biggest supporters of the hospital since it was just an idea and a dream until it became a major project in Egypt. Mr. Abou El-Enein is still a great supporter for the hospital yet. The award was presented to Mr. Abou El Enein by Dr. Sherif Abou El-Naga, Chairman of the hospital.
