Abou El-Enein Condemns Assassination of Japan’s Abe

MP Mohammad Abou El-Enein, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR) condemned Friday’s assassination of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, while paying tribute to him as a great leader.

Abe, 67, was shot from behind in Nara in western Japan while giving a campaign speech. He was airlifted to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

“I am deeply saddened by the news that Shinzo Abe was shot and killed. He was a great leader and dedicated his life in serving his country,” Abou El-Enein said.

 “He supported Egypt and played an important role in boosting the cooperation relationship between Egypt and Japan,” he added.

My condolences to his family, the people and  Government of Japan, as well as, Japan’s ambassador in Egypt. Abe’s assassination is a great loss to the whole world,” he concluded.
