MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Member of the House of Representatives and Deputy Chairman of the National Front Party, affirmed his full support for the political leadership in all measures it takes to safeguard Egypt’s national security, expressing his full confidence in the state’s ability, under its political leadership and with the support of the Armed Forces, sovereign agencies, and police forces, to address various challenges with wisdom and resolve, and to take all necessary measures to protect the nation’s security, preserve its resources, and safeguard its higher national interests.
Abou El-Enein said that Egypt is a strong and great nation, possessing the strength and determination necessary to defend its resources.
Abou El-Enein commended the statement issued by the Cabinet regarding the Damietta Port incident, praising the transparent disclosure of the preliminary findings of the investigation, which reflects the state’s approach of keeping the public informed of the facts. He also praised the swift response of state agencies and the activation of emergency plans, which contributed to containing the situation and limiting its repercussions.
He strongly condemned the incident, stressing that Egypt’s security and sovereignty, as well as its vital facilities, are red lines that must not be crossed. He added that the Egyptian people stand united behind their political leadership and state institutions, placing their full trust in their wisdom and ability to protect the nation and safeguard the state’s strategic interests.
He called on citizens not to be drawn into rumors or malicious calls aimed at creating confusion and spreading chaos, stressing that citizens’ awareness and solidarity with their state represent the first line of defense in protecting the nation’s security and stability.
He stressed that Egypt will remain, through its leadership, national institutions, and the unity of its people, strong and capable of protecting its sovereignty and defending its national interests, regardless of how formidable the challenges may become.
