MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein: Kayan University Will Help Build the Workforce of the Future and Keep Pace with Technological Transformation as the World Enters a New Era of Renaissance and Industrial Revolution
MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein affirmed that the world is entering a new era of renaissance and industrial revolution, driven by modern concepts centered on comprehensive security and technological advancement. He noted that the draft law establishing the Kayan University of the Armed Forces for Applied Sciences reflects this vision through its focus on future sciences and artificial intelligence.
His remarks came during the House of Representatives’ discussion of the government-sponsored draft law establishing the Kayan University of the Armed Forces for Applied Sciences, which aims to create a specialized university operating in accordance with the latest international standards in applied sciences. The legislation also regulates the University’s academic and administrative framework, transfers the Armed Forces College of Medicine under its authority, and establishes the legal framework governing its functions and responsibilities.
Abou El-Enein stated that the establishment of Kayan University represents a strategic step toward strengthening Egypt’s higher education system in line with the rapidly evolving global landscape of technology and innovation, while responding to the demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
He explained that artificial intelligence algorithms now exert an influence that, in many fields, surpasses that of conventional weapons due to their capacity to bring about profound transformations across various sectors. This, he said, underscores the need to invest in human capital and prepare generations capable of leading the future.
He added that the current stage requires graduates equipped with advanced knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence and applied sciences, enabling them to compete effectively in both domestic and international labor markets. He stressed that Kayan University aims to produce highly qualified professionals capable of addressing future challenges through modern academic programs built on technology and innovation.
Abou El-Enein further emphasized that developing the education system is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and the creation of a knowledge-based economy. He highlighted the importance of continuously reviewing legislation governing higher education to ensure it keeps pace with global scientific developments and strengthens the capacity of Egyptian universities to prepare generations equipped with the tools of the future and capable of contributing effectively to Egypt’s development.
The House of Representatives concluded its deliberations by granting final approval to the draft law establishing the Kayan University of the Armed Forces for Applied Sciences, in a move aimed at strengthening Egypt’s higher education and scientific research system and preparing highly qualified professionals in applied sciences and technology in accordance with the latest international standards.
