MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein: “30 June Revolution Saved Egypt… President El-Sisi Sacrificed Himself for the Nation” – Remarks During the Launch Ceremony of the Book “Man of Destiny”
MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Chairman of the Euro-Mediterranean Parliament, stated that the 30 June Revolution represented a lifeline for the Egyptian state, stressing that it restored the nation and opened the door to a new phase of comprehensive development. He praised the role of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in protecting the state and strengthening its regional and international standing, affirming that Egypt has become a model of stability and development.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch ceremony of the book “Man of Destiny”, which was presented by journalist Ahmed Moussa on the program “On My Responsibility” broadcast on Sada El-Balad TV, Abou El-Enein said: “I salute all the efforts made to establish the truth and document it with indisputable evidence. I tell our journalists, and Mr. Abdel Sadeq El-Shorbagy, Chairman of the National Press Authority, that you have produced a book for history.”
He added: “I am one of those who suffered during the 2011 period, whether in my factories or in my personal life. We must tell everyone that God protected Egypt through the 30 June Revolution. This popular revolution came from pain and awareness, but it came at the right time and marked a decisive moment. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi delivered his historic statement.”
He continued: “The 30 June Revolution united Egyptians as one. Despite all challenges and threats, President El-Sisi placed himself and his life at the service of the nation.”
He further stated that the revolution marked a new beginning for Egypt, after which the country began speaking about development and a new way of thinking. He noted that President El-Sisi was the first to speak of a vision rather than a traditional plan, aimed at unlocking Egypt’s human potential—youth and women alike—as well as its natural resources. He highlighted the development of modern ports in Port Said, Damietta, and Sokhna, which now serve global trade.
Abou El-Enein also pointed to the expansion of Egypt’s urban area from 6% to 12%, emphasizing the unprecedented utilization of state resources and the transformation of previously unused desert land into valuable assets.
He added that there is now genuine attention to youth and women, and noted that internationally, Europe holds significant respect for President El-Sisi due to his consistency and principles.
He continued: “President El-Sisi presented Egypt to the world in a modern and contemporary image, something that did not happen in the past. Egypt is also consistently working to de-escalate tensions in the region and prevent escalation, as seen in handling crises such as the Iran conflict and the Palestinian issue.”
He further said that Egypt’s will succeeded in building a strong army that protects the stability of the state, noting that without Egypt’s strength and its support for Arab countries and the Palestinian cause, the issue would have been lost. He emphasized that when President El-Sisi rejected displacement plans and drew red lines, no one was able to تجاوز them, because only a strong leader can take such a stance.
He concluded by expressing his pride in celebrating Egypt’s achievements, extending deep appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, saying: “You are in the hearts of Egyptians. We pray that God grants you success, health, and long life. The Egyptian people love you, and we love this patriotic man who gave his life for the nation.”
