This came during his speech marking the end of the fifth parliamentary session of the House of Representatives.

He addressed his message to the MPs: “Do not underestimate what you have accomplished in building modern Egypt. Everything we witness today is the result of the added value of the legislations and proposals you have presented. You stood firmly behind the leader and statesman, President El-Sisi, throughout every stage of development. You fulfilled your duties in every forum, and your position was clear as you supported the efforts of the Armed Forces and the police in defending the nation’s security. You confronted outdated legal provisions and tackled complex issues with legislations that meet the demands of the present and the ambitions of the future.”

Abou El-Enein stressed that Parliament has become a platform for societal dialogue.
