In a powerful humanitarian and national gesture reflecting Egypt’s enduring spirit of solidarity, the National Alliance for Civil and Development Work launched today, Saturday, the 11th humanitarian relief convoy bound for the Gaza Strip, with the wide participation of Egypt’s leading civil society organizations — foremost among them the Abou El-Enein Foundation for Social and Cultural Development, which continues its pioneering role in supporting humanitarian causes both inside and outside Egypt.
Hundreds of volunteers from the Abou El-Enein Foundation took part in preparing the convoy’s food, medical, and relief supplies over the past several days. Their collective efforts reflect a genuine national commitment to supporting the Palestinian people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
The convoy was launched in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Aziz, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Alliance; MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives; and Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance.
In his remarks, MP Mohamed Abou El-Enein, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Abou El-Enein Foundation, affirmed that this participation comes in implementation of the directives of Egypt’s political leadership, and as an expression of the collective conscience of the Egyptian people.
He added that the Foundation provided all logistical and human resources necessary to ensure the convoy’s success, noting that hundreds of volunteers exerted tremendous effort in packing, sorting, and transporting the aid, under full coordination to guarantee efficient and timely delivery to those in need.
For her part, Ambassador Nabila Makram, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Alliance, expressed her pride in this nationwide community mobilization, emphasizing that the convoy reflects the true strength and unity of Egyptian civil society.
The National Alliance has become a unifying platform that translates the compassion of Egyptians into concrete action,” she said. “Today, we are witnessing an inspiring model of human solidarity. We extend our gratitude to the Abou El-Enein Foundation and all participants for their noble commitment and swift response.
