Unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Committee on Economic, Financial and Social Affairs and Education of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean.
The Assembly includes 280 parliamentarians representing 43 European, Arab and Mediterranean countries and the European Parliament.
