Abou El-Enein: Frankfort’s flight ‘powerful start’ for resuming flights to Egypt

Head of the Egyptian–European Business Council، and well-known Egyptian magnate Mohamed Abou El-Enein said he expects the tourist flights to be flocking Egypt from over the world.

The remakes came following Sharm E-Sheikh Airport’s receiving an airliner coming from Germany’s Frankfort for a first time since the halt.

In a statement issued on Saturday the Egyptian–European Business Council said they anticipate for the Egyptian tourism “a very successful winter season just around the corner،” especially after the Russian and European delegations’ appraisal over the security procedures imposed in airports.

Russia and several European nations have suspended air service with Egypt following the crash of a Russian A321 passenger jet in Sinai. The jet owned by Russia’s Kogalymavia air carrier (flight 9268) bound to St. Petersburg crashed on Oct. 31، 2015، some 30 minutes after the take-off from Egypt’s Sharm el-Sheikh. It fell down 100 kilometres south of the administrative centre of North Sinai Governorate، the city of Al-Arish. The plane was carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members. There were four Ukrainian and one Belarusian national among the passengers. None survived.
