Aboul-Enein: Egypt Able to Operate Centers for Transit Aircraft Maintenance

MP Mohammad Aboul Enein, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), congratulated the workforce of the aviation sector, on the occasion of the National Day of Civil Aviation, wishing them all success.

In his speech to the plenary session of the HoR, today, Tuesday, in the presence of Minister of Civil Aviation Minister of Civil Aviation, Mohamed Manar Enaba, Aboul Enein said: We have to think out of the box and exert efforts in order to achieve global competitiveness and make use of our unique location and maximize the added value of the civil aviation sector.

Aboul Enein emphasized that Egypt’s unique location qualifies it to set up maintenance centers for charter and transit aircraft, which will compensate the companies’ losses.

The prominent businessman also indicated that the losses of civil aviation worldwide are 400 billion dollars due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He pointed out that the coming period will witness the return of Russian flights, noting, “We must know the demands of external aviation to re-evaluate the system again.”

He demanded that there should be a promotional campaign for Egyptian aviation in conjunction with the Egyptian antiquities campaign abroad, noting that there is a problem in transporting goods through air transport.
